Studio 8 Story
Studio 8 was founded in 2011 when the South Lincoln Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Clinic moved to 8 Mill Lane, North Hykeham. The studio was built onto the existing building and was originally used for rehabilitating patients and for group rehab classes such as Pilates and seated exercise.
At this time the children’s dance classes “Elev8” were offered and brought in for children from the ages of 3-15, these dance classes are still running and are as popular as ever.
As the studio grew in popularity more classes were added to the timetable and a wider variety of classes were offered such as Zumba, fitness Pilates and Boot camp.
In July 2012 Steve and Rachel Taylor became studio managers and with them came a more extensive timetable with classes per week totalling over 30. New classes such as total tone, kettle bells, harmony and body blast were instant hits and brought in new clientele to the building.
Throughout 2012 and 2013 Steve and Rachel have worked tirelessly in bringing in and offering more classes and courses at Studio 8.
2014 was a breakthrough year for Studio 8 as it went from a well-kept secret to a well-known place to go.
Also in 2014 the 6am Bootcamp class started and quickly reached full capacity with intense and varied workouts waking up the clientele before work. To this date these classes are still running at full capacity with many customers still with us from the start.
During 2014 several classes were tried and some worked and some didn’t but towards the end of the year we hit the bullseye with the amazing Clubbercise class starting up and within weeks the party was kicking.
During 2015 the studio has continued to grow in popularity and with the addition of classes such as Yoga, Pound and Boxercise to our timetable the future looks bright.
