Boxercise is an exercise class based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit. Classes can take a variety of formats but a typical one involves shadow-boxing, hitting pads, cardio drills and circuit training.Boxercise is a fun, challenging and safe workout and the classes are aimed at men and women of all ages and fitness standards.

Bootcamp brings the outdoor into the studio, it is a whole body workout that utilities equipment such as kettle bells, TRX bands, tyre's, ladders, club bells, medicine balls, sandbags, dumbbells and stability balls.

This workout will work every muscle in the body from every angle possible, leading to a strong functional body. If you play any sport or partake in skiing or snowboarding then this class is a must.



This class is suitable for anyone who has a mediate level of fitness.​

Cardio combat is a workout where you are totally unleashed. This energetic programme is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, Ta'e kwon do and Muay Thai.

Supported by driving music you can strike, punch, knee and kick your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.


This class is suitable for all fitness levels (easier options will be given for beginners).​

Do you like the idea of a fitness class that feels more like a night out than a workout?If so you’ll LOVE Clubbercise®, a new dance fitness class with easy-to-follow routines using rave glow sticks to club anthems from the 90′s to now. Our fun fitness classes are taught in a darkened room with disco lights to create a nightclub atmosphere and our playlists include uplifting dance/house/rave/EDM tracks with a dash of hip-hop/R&B.

Fitness Pilates is based on the original teachings of Joseph Pilates and incorporates the Pilates Ring (also known as “The Magic Circle”).


Each exercise is designed to make the maximum use of your time by targeting the deep postural muscles of the body, building strength from the inside out and re-balancing your muscles.



Fitness Pilates attacks the roots of bad posture by toning little-used muscles groups in the abdomen, torso, upper and lower back and the moves in Fitness Pilates are also designed to work the muscles of the whole body (abdominal's, lower back, thighs, buttocks, calves, arms, shoulders) and to gently lengthen them.



The result is a body that is properly aligned and at less risk of injury. This class is suitable for all fitness levels

Gentle Pilates is a safe, efficient and effective way to get fit and get into shape. Pilates is designed to strengthen and control the muscles in our core, lower back, abs and hips.

It will improve posture alignment and help to iron out aches and pains. The eight basic principles of Pilates are concentration, breathing, posture, control, flowing movements, relaxation, and stamina. All of these are important and form a well balanced class.

Harmony mixes yoga, T'ai chi and Pilates for a workout that builds flexibility and strength, and leaves you feeling centered and calm.

Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into state of harmony and balance.​

Kettlebells are an ideal form of exercise because they work and strengthen every muscle in the body, while at the same time providing a great cardiovascular workout.

One of the first things you will notice is how quickly you are able to get a good workout. Kettlebells are popular with both athletes and people looking for general fitness and weight loss.

This class is suitable for anyone who has a general level of fitness.​

A Pilates based workout that will work all the major and minor muscle in your legs, bum, abs and core. This class will also aid in functional strength and correct postural alignment leading to a stronger you

 

Legs, Bums & Tums targets the common problem areas, incorporating a mixture of abdominal workouts, lunges, stretches and exercises for the legs, thigh's, buttocks and stomach. A conditioning class focusing on re-shaping the lower body. This is a low impact class, with an element of cardiovascular work and suitable for all levels of fitness.

POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and Isometric poses into a 45-minute series. Burn between 400 and 900+ calories per hour, strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, slimmer physique – all while rocking out to your favorite music!

 

Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighted drumsticks, called Ripstix®, you'll turn into a calorie-torching drummer, POUNDing off pounds as each song flies by. Rock, rap, dubstep, pop and old school music fuse to create the POUNDtrack series, which is hand-selected by music enthusiasts, drummers and POUND founders Kirsten Potenza and Cristina Peerenboom.

Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps build flexibility and long, lean muscles, strength and endurance in the legs, abdominal, arms, hips and back.

It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing to relieve stress and allow adequate oxygen flow to muscles, developing a strong core, improving coordination and balance. Pilates flexible systems allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advanced. This class is suitable for all fitness levels.​

The seated session class is a fun class, great to do if standing classes are a struggle and getting down to the floor is out of the questions. Half the class is upbeat but always seated on the chair.

The second half is also seated but this time much calmer, the movements are flowing, and often a ball is used in this part of the class as an aid to keep fit. At the very end of the class the ball is used again to, improve not only fitness but hand eye co-ordination. This class is lots of fun!!

This class is suitable for all fitness levels.

Street Dance (4-7yr) - Elev8 Dance Academy    see live class timetable

 

This class introduces students to the foundations of ‘Street Dance’. Street Dance is a British term for Hip-hop dance and all its variants such as Old Skool, Break Dancing, Lockin’ and Poppin, House Dance, Krumpin, & LA/Commercial styles.

Kat’s classes incorporate many of the foundation elements to each of these styles, through warm ups, drilling and learning a 2-3 new routines each term. Kat’s classes are fun, energetic but also require concentration and discipline.

Students will benefit with improved fitness levels, heightened flexibility and better balance and co-ordination. Students must be at least 4 years of age before joining this class due to the nature of the movement and the demands on the body.​

Street Dance (9-12yr) - Elev8 Dance Academy    see live class timetable

 

This class is aimed at a higher age group and also takes the dance moves to the next level up. Students will be able to deepen their understanding on the fundamentals of Street Dance.

Students learn through a series of warm-ups, drills and mastering longer more complex routines. The benefits of this class include improved fitness levels, a confidence boost, and stronger balance and co-ordination.

Students from the previous class will be moved up when they turn 8, or prior to this at Kat’s discretion.​

Total Tone is a non impact resistance based workout that uses body weight and weighted exercises.

This class works on every major and minor muscle groups in the body and is great for all over toning, and also for increasing muscle and skeletal strength.

This class is suitable for all fitness levels.

This class combines the inspiring qualities of mime and creative dance with the discipline of Ballet. Students learn how to perform the foundations of Classical Ballet (i.e. Pliés, jumps, stretching the feet, carriage of the arms), whilst being allowed the freedom to express themselves through movement.

Students learn how to dance in character, use movement to tell stories, how to use facial expressions as well as good posture and correct alignment.

This class is a free work class, and based on Kat’s expertise of maintaining a fun and wholesome learning environment we do not currently offer examinations with a board or association.

At age 5 students and parents can opt for internal assessments twice a year to monitor progress.​

Yoga and Yoga postures are beneficial as they help bring a harmonious balance within your system, with feelings of total well being.
